Isaiah 55:6-9

Posted by: youthcafe In: Verses to ponder

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

It is through Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, that we can “return unto the Lord”. By aligning our self with the Christ within we can humbly receive His Mercy and “He will abundantly pardon”. Then we can begin to think and act in ways that please God. Then His Will will be done and His Kingdom will come. Or, we can wait and squander our time, living our ego centered lives, and one day it will be too late. Then, when we seek the Lord, He will not be near and He will not be found. Hence, “Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near”.
